Darius Harris's Biography

Born in 1996 on January 17th, Darius Leseaun Harris, the football prodigy hailing from America, rose to prominence as an exceptional professional football linebacker. Playing for the formidable Dallas Cowboys, an illustrious team part of the National Football League (NFL), Harris has carved his unique mark in the world of professional football.

Harris’ journey into the world of competitive football began with his college years at Middle Tennessee. Here, he honed his skills and emerged as an impressive player, grabbing the attention of professional scouts. Following his commendable performance in university, his career took a leap forward when he was signed by the Kansas City Chiefs as an undrafted free agent on April 29, 2019. This was a significant moment in his career, opening doors to a vast field of opportunities and challenges.

Unfortunately, Harris’ rise to stardom met with a sudden halt when he landed on the non-football injury reserve list owing to a shoulder injury he suffered during his final college games. This injury compelled him to spend an entire season off the field. During his recovery period, his team, the Kansas City Chiefs, triumphed and won Super Bowl LIV against the San Francisco 49ers, a bittersweet victory without Harris.

Returning for the next season, the tables seemed to turn against Harris when he was waived on September 5, 2020. However, not all hope was lost when he was signed to the practice squad the very next day. He climbed his way upwards, getting promoted from the practice squad on September 30, and proving his determination and resilience.

Harris’ roller-coaster journey continued in October 2021 when the Chiefs waived him, only to re-sign him to the practice squad again. In February 2022, he signed a reserve/future contract with the Chiefs solidifying his position. The impactful player then won his second Super Bowl when the Chiefs topped the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl LVII. Here, Harris claimed his place on the field with his significant tackle.

August 2023 brought about a change for Harris when he signed with the Las Vegas Raiders. This alliance was short-lived as he received a waiver after just eleven days. The fluctuation in Harris’ career was evident again when he signed back to the Raiders’ practice squad on October 24.

A surprise turn of events saw Harris signed off the Raiders practice squad by the Chiefs on October 31, 2023; a homecoming for the relentless player. Harris’ time with the Chiefs was filled with unpredictability; he was released on December 16 and three days later, found himself re-signed to the practice squad. 2024 sat well with Harris as he was promoted to the Chiefs’ active roster on January 26. This year crowned Harris with his third Super Bowl victory when Chiefs triumphed against the San Francisco 49ers in Super Bowl LVIII.

Harris’ journey saw him signing once again with the Chiefs on February 27, 2024. The same year in August, he found himself a new home with the Dallas Cowboys. A minor setback came when he was released by the end of August, but his resilience shone through as he was re-signed to the practice squad.
