Corey Ballentine

Corey Ballentine is an NFL cornerback who was born on April 13, 1996, in Montego Bay, Jamaica. He attended Shawnee Heights High School in Kansas before playing at Washburn University, where he also competed in track and field. At Washburn, Ballentine became a standout defensive back and earned the 2018 Cliff Harris Award as the top defensive player from a small college. He also received All-America recognition and became the first Washburn player selected for the Senior Bowl.

The New York Giants selected Ballentine in the sixth round, 180th overall, of the 2019 NFL Draft. He later spent time with the New York Jets, Detroit Lions, Atlanta Falcons and Green Bay Packers. Green Bay re-signed him in 2024 after he had worked between the practice squad and active roster. His professional role has centered on cornerback responsibilities, with additional value as a defensive-back and special-teams contributor. Evaluations of Ballentine have emphasized his speed, athletic background, work ethic and competitive character.

Ballentine signed with the Jacksonville Jaguars on July 28, 2026, and was released during Jacksonville’s roster reduction on August 30, 2026.
