Born on March 22, 1999, Brian Robinson Jr. emerged as a star athlete right from his hometown of Tuscaloosa, Alabama. Enrolling in Hillcrest High School, he aced the football ground and left everyone awestruck by rushing for 990 yards and scoring 18 touchdowns as a senior. His outstanding football prowess earned him the title of second team Class 6A All-State, preparing him for a forthcoming athletic career.

Showing early signs of a promising future, Robinson was rated a four-star recruit and was all set to undertake his college journey at the University of Alabama. His college debut against Vanderbilt remarkably left an imprint with his first collegiate rushing touchdown in a 59-0 victory. Despite his freshman year saw him as a backup to Najee Harris and Josh Jacobs, he managed to rush for 165 yards and score two touchdowns in the 2018 CFP National Championship Game.

With the progression of his college journey, Robinson’s sophomore season saw him gain his own standing by gaining 272 yards and scoring two touchdowns on 63 carries. But his final success was yet to come when in the 2019 season, he rose as Alabama’s second running back, standing just behind Najee Harris. Excelling in every match, he scored five rushing touchdowns, rushed 96 times accumulating to 441 yards and caught 11 passes for 124 receiving yards.

Robinson continued his exceptional performance throughout the 2020 season and his university won their second national title during his time. Even though he remained the second running back to Harris, his return couldn’t be overlooked as he gained 483 rushing yards, scored six rushing touchdowns with 91 carries. His determined efforts led to him finally becoming Alabama’s featured back as a fifth-year senior in 2021.

Battling with injuries, Robinson showcased his exceptional skills by topping the Southeastern Conference in carries and touchdowns. His matches against Ole Miss, Texas A&M, and Mississippi State recorded outstanding performances, earning him the MVP title in the 2021 Cotton Bowl Classic and finished the season by rushing 271 times for 1343 yards, scoring 14 touchdowns, and making 35 receptions for 296 yards and two touchdowns.

After an impressive college journey, Robinson was picked by the Washington Commanders in the third round, 98th overall, of the 2022 NFL draft. His dreams came true when he got to sign his four-year rookie contract on May 18, 2022.

Just when his professional career was beginning, a distressing incident occurred on August 28, 2022, where Robinson was shot in the knee and glute during an armed robbery, causing him to miss the initial four games of the season.

However, Robinson, being a true sportsman, faced adversities bravely and made his debut in Week 5 against the Tennessee Titans. His first career touchdown happened the following week against the Chicago Bears, which transformed into a winning game in the fourth quarter for the Commanders. His debut season ended with him appearing in 12 games, starting in nine, accumulating 205 carries for 797 yards, two rushing touchdowns, and receiving nine times for 60 yards and one touchdown.

Being a true inspiration, Robinson was awarded the 2022 Inspiration of the Year by Sports Illustrated and voted as Washington’s Ed Block Courage Award winner. His career continued to ascend with him gaining six receptions for 119 yards and a touchdown in Week 10 of the 2023 season against the Seahawks. The season saw him starting in 15 games, carrying 178 times for 733 yards, scoring five rushing touchdowns, and making 36 receptions for 368 yards and four touchdowns.
