Anthony Firkser

Anthony Firkser is an American football tight end who was born on February 19, 1995, in Manalapan, New Jersey. He attended Harvard, where he developed from a former basketball-focused athlete into a productive football player. Firkser was listed at 6 feet 3 inches and 230 pounds by Harvard and earned first-team All-Ivy League recognition as a senior in 2016. He also received Harvard’s Joe Restic Award for leadership, scholarship and integrity.

Firkser entered the NFL as an undrafted rookie free agent with the New York Jets in 2017. After later spending time with the Kansas City Chiefs, he joined the Tennessee Titans in 2018 and established himself as a receiving tight end. His career included notable postseason contributions for Tennessee, including a touchdown against the New England Patriots in the 2020 AFC Wild Card Game. He subsequently spent time with the Atlanta Falcons, New England Patriots and Detroit Lions.

The Kansas City Chiefs signed Firkser to a reserve/future contract on March 12, 2025, and released him on April 30, 2025. The Chiefs’ 2025 initial roster did not include him, so he should be described as a former Chiefs player rather than a current Kansas City roster member as of September 13, 2026. Firkser’s playing profile has centered on his route-running, hands and versatility as a receiving tight end, with special-teams experience also appearing in his professional career.
