Andrew Thomas Bio
Andrew Thomas is an American football offensive tackle for the New York Giants. As of September 27, 2026, the Giants list Thomas on their active roster and as the starting left tackle on their unofficial depth chart. He wears No. 78 and is listed at 6-foot-5 and 315 pounds. Thomas was born on January 22, 1999, in Lithonia, Georgia, and played college football at the University of Georgia.
The Giants selected Thomas fourth overall in the 2020 NFL Draft. He established himself as a long-term left tackle and earned Associated Press Second-Team All-Pro recognition after the 2022 season. On July 26, 2023, New York signed Thomas to a five-year contract extension beginning in 2025, following the remaining years of his rookie agreement. That extension is scheduled to keep him under contract with the Giants through the 2029 season.
Thomas’s playing style is built around his size, strength, reach and movement skills. He is valued for his work in pass protection and for his ability to contribute as a run blocker, including when blocking in space. His development from a highly drafted rookie into an established veteran tackle made him one of the central long-term investments on the Giants’ offensive line.
