BIOGRAPHY

Andrew Ogletree, a professional football player known for his role as a tight end for the Indianapolis Colts in the National Football League (NFL), was born on the 28th of July, 1998. A versatile sportsman from childhood, Ogletree has blended his passion for the game with his formidable skills over the course of his burgeoning career in both college and professional football.

Andrew was born and raised in Dayton, Ohio—a city steeped in industrial history and an energetic sporting culture. He grew up playing both football and basketball at Northridge High School, nurturing his affinity for sports and honing his athletic prowess.

Upon graduating from high school, Ogletree commenced his college career at Findlay University. His dedication to the game and to his team was evident. During his three-season stint at the University, he proved to be a valuable asset for the football team; his impressive statistics included 54 catches, which collectively covered 785 yards, and 10 touchdowns, showcasing his remarkable ability and potential.

However, after a rewarding time at Findlay, he made the decision to transfer to Youngstown State for his senior year. There, Ogletree continued to emphasize his proficiency, recording 28 catches covering 282 yards. His time at Youngstown State was instrumental in further developing his skill set, readying him for professional-level football.

Seizing the opportunity to progress his career, Ogletree entered the 2022 NFL Draft, where he was selected by the Indianapolis Colts in the sixth round as the 192nd overall pick. A dream come true for any aspiring footballer, this marked a significant milestone in Ogletree’s life—the transition from college-level competitor to professional athlete.

However, his journey was not without its trials. Unfortunately, shortly after joining the Colts, he sustained a torn ACL during training camp. As a result, on August 18, 2022, he was placed on injured reserve for recovery and rehabilitation. Despite this setback, Ogletree exemplified resilience and returned to play in Week 4 of the 2023 season, where he made a triumphant comeback by scoring his first NFL touchdown against the Rams.

During the 2023 season, Ogletree made notable contributions to the Colts’ performance. He concluded the season with nine receptions, covering 147 yards, and two successful touchdowns in the 12 games he played. Also noteworthy is that he started in nine of these games.

However, Andrew’s journey took a difficult turn on December 29, 2023, when he was arrested in Hendricks County, Indiana, on charges of alleged domestic violence. The charges included two felonies: carrying out acts of domestic violence in front of a child under the age of 16, and causing moderate bodily injury through domestic battery. As a result of the incident, the victim was admitted to a hospital for treatment.

Subsequent to his arrest, a legal tumult followed. After considerable deliberation, however, the charges levied against Ogletree were dismissed with prejudice on March 5, 2024, thus putting an end to the tormented chapter of his life.
