Born on May 6, 1998, Mitch Perry Spence is a renowned professional baseball pitcher from America. He has had an illustrious career in Major League Baseball (MLB), currently playing for the prestigious Oakland Athletics. The journey to MLB started in Green Hope High School situated in Cary, North Carolina. In 2023, Spence was invited to the Yankees’ spring training as a non-roster player. He spent most of that year with Triple-A Scranton, making 29 starts with an endearing 8-8 record and an ERA of 4.47. His performance was significant, notching up 153 strikeouts after 163 innings pitched.

The journey of striving and growing brought an impressive accolade for Spence on December 6, 2023; he was the first overall pick of the Rule 5 draft by the Oakland Athletics.
