Napheesa Collier

Napheesa Collier is a forward for the Minnesota Lynx of the WNBA. The Lynx selected her sixth overall in the 2019 WNBA Draft, and she has remained with Minnesota throughout her professional career. On September 11, 2026, the Lynx announced that they had re-signed Collier; the team’s current 2026 roster lists her as a 6-foot-1 forward. She has also represented the United States, winning Olympic gold at Tokyo 2020 and Paris 2024.

Born September 23, 1996, in O’Fallon, Missouri, Collier played college basketball at the University of Connecticut. She helped the Huskies reach four consecutive Final Fours and won the 2016 NCAA championship. Her collegiate honors included multiple All-American selections, two American Athletic Conference Player of the Year awards, and the 2019 Katrina McClain Award. With Minnesota, Collier developed into a versatile two-way player whose game combines forward size, perimeter skill, mobility, defensive activity, and an ability to contribute in several areas of the court. She was named WNBA Rookie of the Year in 2019 and WNBA Defensive Player of the Year in 2024.
