Karlie Samuelson

Karlie Samuelson is a 6-foot guard who signed with the Portland Fire on April 11, 2026. She entered the WNBA as an undrafted player in 2017 and has played for the Los Angeles Sparks, Dallas Wings, Seattle Storm, Phoenix Mercury, Washington Mystics and Minnesota Lynx before joining Portland. Samuelson’s game is built around perimeter shooting and the positional size to operate on the wing or in the backcourt.

Born May 10, 1995, Samuelson played four seasons at Stanford, graduating in 2017 with a degree in human biology. Her Cardinal career included two Pac-12 titles, two Final Four runs and honorable-mention All-America recognition as a senior. Stanford identifies her as one of the program’s most accurate long-range shooters, a skill that has remained central to her professional role. She has also built an international résumé that includes league titles in Spain and Belgium and a 2024 EuroCup championship and Finals MVP honor with the London Lions.
