Zviad Lazishvili is an up and coming mixed martial artist currently competing in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). He was born in the Republic of Georgia in 1983 and has been training since he was 16 years old. His love for combat sports began with traditional Georgian wrestling which he participated in for many years before transitioning into mixed martial arts.

In 2006, Lazishvili made his professional MMA debut after signing with the Turkish promotion, Common Wealth Fighting Alliance. Over the next four years, he competed mostly on regional circuits throughout Europe while amassing an impressive record of 10 wins and 2 losses. In 2010, he signed with WSOF Russia and went 6-2 over two years in that organization before being scouted by UFC scouts who saw him compete at a regional event where they signed him as part of their flyweight division.

Since joining UFC, Lazishvili has compiled a respectable 4-3 record going into his most recent fight against Jordan Espinosa at UFC Fight Night: Blaydes vs Volkov on June 20th 2020.
