Tainara Lisboa is a Brazilian mixed martial artist, who currently competes in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). Growing up, Tainara was an avid athlete and participated in many sports such as soccer, judo and boxing. She quickly developed a passion for the fighting arts and decided to pursue MMA full time when she was just 17 years old.
Since then she has gone on to become one of Brazil’s top female fighters. In 2013 she became the flyweight champion in her home country after just four professional fights. After dominating Brazil’s regional scene, Tainara made her UFC debut in 2018 at The Ultimate Fighter Finale: Rodrigues vs Stepheson event where she defeated fellow Brazilian Vanessa Porto via unanimous decision. This victory marked her first win since joining the promotion and established herself as one of their rising stars.
In 2020 Tainara began making waves at the highest level of women’s MMA when she signed with Bellator – another premier promotion which sees some of the world’s greatest competitors battle it out inside their cages every weekend. Since signing with Bellator, Tainara has taken part in three fights; all ending with decisive victories for her including most recently a submission victory over Juliana Velasquez at Bellator 254 last December which earned her Performance Of The Night honors from Dana White himself! Her impressive performances have propelled her rise through both promotions ranks putting here firmly on track to becoming one of MMA’s biggest stars both domestically and internationally!
Outside of competing inside cages or rings around world, Tainara is also an ambassador for Canção Nova Foundation – supporting those affected by poverty across Brazil – appearing regularly on their TV programs depicting elements from everyday life experiences found amongst these communities amidst Christian teachings aimed towards providing guidance during these hard times for many people living there today .
Not only does this demonstrate how much more than just fighter that goes into making someone like Tanaira such a great figure within not only Mixed Martial Arts but also globally – but also shows us why so many people look up towards athletes like herself that are using their public platforms to help others along whilst still achieving success themselves within what they do best!
