Sergey Khandozhko is a professional mixed martial artist who competes in the UFC. Born on August 14, 1983 in Vladikavkaz, Russia, he has been training and competing in MMA since 2004.

Khandozhko’s career began with some success when he won his first four fights by knock out or technical knock out (TKO). His early rise was halted when he suffered back to back losses and had to step away from competition for four years. However, during this time Khandozhko continued to train hard and prepare for his return.

In 2013 Khandozhko made a triumphant return with seven consecutive victories which included three finishes by submission and one TKO victory against Brian Cobb at PXC 43 in Guam on March 28th 2014. This impressive win earned him an invitation to compete in the UFC Ultimate Fighter Nations: Canada vs Australia series as part of Team Canada coached by Patrick Cote. During this series he defeated Australian team member Daniel Kelly with an impressive guillotine choke submission near the end of round two winning him Fight Of The Night honors along with $50 000 dollars bonus money.

Since joining the UFC roster Sergey has notched up another five wins that have placed him firmly among the top names of featherweight division fighters where currently holds a #14 ranking according to official rankings website Sherdog . His most recent victory came against Beneil Dariush whom he defeated via TKO at UFC 262 event held May 15 2021 . With 9 wins out of 10 bouts it looks like Khandzoukhov is well positioned for a run towards title contention providing opportunities for exciting matchups against other ranked featherweights such as Max Holloway , Zabit Magomedsharipov or Brian Ortega .

With considerable accomplishments under his belt including XFC , WCMMAF , PXC championships along with numerous awards such as Performance Of The Night bonuses or Fight Of The night awards Sergey Khabdzhokhov certainly is one of brightest stars in Russian MMA scene today and one of those athletes whose next fight we all should watch closely!
