Sean Soriano is an American mixed martial artist best known for fighting in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). Born in Providence, Rhode Island on March 18th, 1989, he started training in martial arts at a very young age. By the time he was 16 years old, Sean had already become a black belt in Krav Maga and Brazilian jiu-jitsu.
After high school graduation, Sean attended Rutgers University where he earned his degree in psychology with a minor in criminal justice. During his college years, he kept up with his MMA training even more intently; sparring regularly and honing his skills until eventually joining Team Sityodtong’s fight team. It was there that UFC matchmaker Joe Silva noticed him and signed him to compete for the promotion as early as 2012.
Since then Soriano has had eight fights inside of the octagon against some of most renowned fighters including Charles Oliveira and Renato Moicano who both previously competed for titles within their divisions. While the record may not show it yet – 3 wins 9 losses – it’s been widely acknowledged by fans and commentators alike that Soriano is one of those fighters whose record does not reflect how good they are when they step into the cage or ring on fight night as evidenced by several closely contested bouts between himself and established opponents such as Andre Fili at UFC Fight Night: Bermudez vs Jung 12/9/17 which resulted in Split Decision victory for Fili despite many viewers believing that Sean should have won due to having landed more strikes throughout their three round battle. He followed this performance up with another close decision loss against Jordan Griffin at UFC Fight Night: Gaethje v Vick 8/25/18 which lead to an unfortunate two fight losing streak; however since then we’ve seen Sean bounce back strong winning two out of three fights following that skid including dominant victories over Enrique Barzola & Dylan Lockard respectively during Dana White’s Contender Series 11 & 13 7/16/19 & 8/20/19 events earning himself contracts from those performances respectively making it four out five bouts ended via stoppage win resulting from punches or submission holds alone showing just how lethal of fighter Soriano can be when given proper opportunity showcase his skill set under bright stage lights inside iconic octagon!
Outside of MMA competition itself though you’ll find Sean always trying to stay busy whether its lending voice causes matter him like supporting animal rights & helping youth focus developing mental health through volunteering local organizations working betterment community around whole taking part charity events across globe just loving doing anything possible away from being professional athlete reach everyone touch bring change world lives around them bit make big difference no matter how small scale might seem!
