BIOGRAPHY
Sarah Moras is an accomplished mixed martial arts (MMA) athlete who competes in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). Born and raised in Kelowna, British Columbia, Canada on October 5th 1985, Sarah grew up with a passion for sports. She excelled at many of them including basketball and soccer. It wasn’t until she was 18 years old that she took her first Muay Thai class and discovered her true love for combat sports.
Since then Sarah has been completely dedicated to honing her skills within MMA as an amateur before eventually making the transition to professional fighting in 2010. During this period of time she captured several titles including becoming both the Canadian National Muay Thai Champion at featherweight and lightweight divisions respectively, as well as becoming the Western Canadian Amateur MMA champion at 135lbs.
In 2014, Sarah made history by becoming one of two women to compete on The Ultimate Fighter: Team Rousey vs Team Tate season 18 show which aired on Fox Sports 1 network. On episode 13 of the series, Sarah won against Jessica Rakoczy via unanimous decision and earned herself a UFC contract afterwards; making her part of their bantamweight division roster ever since then.
To date Sarah has had 7 bouts within UFC, recording 4 wins out those 7 matches; all four wins being by submission due to some impressive Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu ground game displays throughout each fight! In addition to this record-breaking accomplishment under her belt she also holds notable victories over high calibre opponents such as former Invicta FC Bantamweight Champion Tonya Evinger during UFC Fight Night 152 event which happened back in 2019 . As well as most recently taking home another win over Vanessa Melo during UFC Vegas 20 last month – further solidifying her place amongst some elite company in that same divisional weight class across all major promotions currently active today!
Outside of competition Sarah is incredibly passionate about giving back through fitness related ventures like teaching self defense classes/training seminars along with mentoring young aspiring athletes looking break into MMA world more successfully than what it may have been like for herself starting out not so long ago either – speaking from personal experience partaking various outreach programs over course recent years too! With even further plans still set motion towards continuing this cause indefinitely far off horizon moving forward happily enough either way… All things considered – any doubters can rest assured that ‘The Whip’ will indeed be around delivering justice inside octagon quite some time come now – fear no more folks!!
