Born and raised in Kelowna, British Columbia, Canada on October 5th 1985, Sarah grew up with a passion for sports. She excelled at many of them including basketball and soccer. During this period of time she captured several titles including becoming both the Canadian National Muay Thai Champion at featherweight and lightweight divisions respectively, as well as becoming the Western Canadian Amateur MMA champion at 135lbs.
In 2014, Sarah made history by becoming one of two women to compete on The Ultimate Fighter: Team Rousey vs Team Tate season 18 show which aired on Fox Sports 1 network. On episode 13 of the series, Sarah won against Jessica Rakoczy via unanimous decision and earned herself a UFC contract afterwards; making her part of their bantamweight division roster ever since then.
