Sam Patterson is a renowned Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) fighter who has made a name for himself in the sport. He was born and raised in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, USA on December 28th, 1989. He began studying martial arts as a youngster and developed an interest in MMA shortly thereafter. His amateur MMA career spanned from 2009 to 2014 with multiple victories under his belt.
In 2015, Sam signed his first professional contract with the UFC and made his promotional debut at UFC Fight Night 73 against Edson Barboza Jr.. Although he lost this fight by unanimous decision, Sam gained valuable experience from it that he would take forward into future fights. In 2016 he won his next fight against Jim Millerat UFC Fight Night 81 via submission due to punches in the second round of their bout
Following that win Sam took part seven more fights within the promotion including wins over Steven Ray, Chris Fishgold and Dan Ige among others as well as losses to Alexander Hernandez and Brad Riddell. During these bouts he showcased some of the most exciting battles seen inside The Octagon often being crowned ‘Fight Of The Night’ winner or nominated for such accolades following each contest .
Although still early in his career Sam already considers himself one of the best lightweight fighters on earth having competed and beaten some of toughest opponents out there today .When not competing inside The Octagon Sam enjoys spending time gardening, playing guitar , fishing or simply relaxing with friends & family members. Outside training sessions are also common featuresin order to ensure peak performance during competition periods whilst weight-cutting techniques & dietary changes ensure ideal weight categories are achieved before competitions have begun .
