Rodrigo Nascimento is a professional mixed martial artist and Brazilian jiu-jitsu practitioner. He currently competes in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) as a middleweight competitor. Born on February 15, 1986 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Rodrigo developed an interest in combat sports from an early age. He began his career training in taekwondo at the local gymnasium and eventually moved on to learn judo, which he would later use as the basis for his MMA style. As he continued to hone his skills, Rodrigo discovered Brazilian jiu-jitsu and dedicated himself to mastering its techniques.

In 2010, Rodrigo decided to pursue a career in professional MMA by joining Team Nogueira’s flagship promotion Chute Boxe Academy under coach André Pederneiras. His first professional fight came just six months after joining the team against Koji Oishi at Shooto Brazil 24: Lightweight GP Final Round 2 where he secured victory via submission due to armbar within the first round of action. Following this successful debut fight Roderigo went undefeated over seven more fights before signing with UFC in 2014 after being given a tryout match against Nick Catone at The Ultimate Fighter 19 Finale which resulted with unanimous decision win for Rodrigo over three rounds of action.

Following this huge achievement Roderigo returned back into active competition by showcasing off his talents not only inside but outside of octagon too by making appearances on several Brazilian television shows such as ‘’The Voice Brasil’’ and ‘’Superstar TV Record’’ . In May 2016 during UFC 198 event that took place from Arena da Baixada located inside Curitiba Brazil ,Rodrigos made what some may say was highly anticipated return into octagon when he faced former champion Vitor Belfort who was fresh coming off eight month suspension due failed drug tests . Unfortunately despite all effords put forward ,Rodero lost bout via technical knockout 3 minutes 18 seconds into very first round .
