BIOGRAPHY

Nikolas Motta is a Brazilian mixed martial artist and UFC athlete. He has been fighting professionally since 2016, and has competed in several different promotions. From the beginning of his career he has shown that he is one of the most promising fighters from Brazil and beyond. He currently fights out of Team Nogueira, a world-renowned MMA gym based in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

Motta was born on August 11th 1992 in Recife, Brazil. His first taste for combat sports came early at age 15 when he began to train Judo and Jiu Jitsu with local clubs. It wasn’t long until Motta transitioned into professional MMA competition as an amateur fighter at just 18 years old, earning himself multiple titles with regional organizations before transitioning to pro bouts in 2016 under the WOCS banner. After four impressive victories on the regional circuit, Motta made it onto the biggest stage possible by signing a multi-fight deal with UFC Fight Night Sao Paulo (2018).

In his promotional debut at UFC FN Sao Paulo against Renan Barao (a former champion), Motta showed why they call him “The Neck Crusher” as he tapped out Barao via rear-naked choke submission; earning him “Performance of The Night” honors along with praise from Dana White himself who later stated that this was one of Barao’s best performances ever seen inside the octagon! Ever since then Nikolas has gone on to fight some big names such as Alejandro Perez (UFC FN Moncton) where he earned a split decision victory over the bantamweight contender after taking rounds 2 & 3 . Most recently , In November 2018 , Nikolas faced off against Ricardo Ramos at UFC Fight Night Buenos Aires where once again his grappling expertise prevailed as he submitted Ramos via arm bar late into round two .

Since signing with UFC almost one year ago , Nikolas Mota continues to surprise everyone around him and shows no signs slowing down anytime soon . He currently holds an impressive 8 win – 1 loss record overall but more importantly holds an undefeated 4 – 0 records within UFC alone ! With many exciting fights still ahead we could easily see Nikolas become champion someday soon if things continue going his way !
