Michel “Tractor”Prazeres

Michael Prazeres is a Brazilian mixed martial arts fighter who currently competes in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) welterweight division. He was born on August 14, 1984 in Brasilia, Brazil.

Prazeres started his professional career at the age of fifteen and made his MMA debut in 2005. During his early years of fighting he competed primarily under various Brazilian promotions such as Super Challenge, Zumbi Fight and others before making a name for himself in 2010 by defeating three opponents to become the first-ever Jungle Fight champion. He continued competing successfully under Jungle Fight until 2014 when he signed with the UFC for their lightweight division.

In 2015, Prazeres had an impressive start to his UFC career with back-to-back wins against Mairbek Taisumov and Valmir Lazaro, both via unanimous decision which earned him several fight night bonuses from Performance of the Night to Submission of the Night and Fight of the Night awards. In 2016 he moved up a weight class and began competing at Welterweight where he has remained since then; earning victories against Gilbert Burns and Desmond Green among others while also suffering losses against Thiago Alves, Sergio Moraes and Ismail Naurdiev amongst other opponents throughout this time period as well.

Outside of fighting Michael Prazeres also likes to stay active through surfing activities as well as participating on various TV programs such as Esporte Interativo’s A Liga which features conversations between fighters about various topics related to combat sports or even politics. He is also very involved helping out Jiu-Jitsu schools all over Brazil teaching seminars or attending events alongside fellow Brazilian mixed martial artists like Fabricio Werdum or Jose Aldo Jr..

Michael Prazeres currently holds an impressive record with 27 fights out of which 23 have been won while only four were lost; earning him recognition from multiple outlets including being listed on ESPN’s top 25 best fighters aged 35 years old or younger ranking list along with many other recognitions for outstanding performances both inside and outside The Octagon™️ .
