Mandy Bohm Bio
Mandy Bohm, known professionally as “The Iron Lady” is a professional mixed martial artist and former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) fighter. She has been fighting in the octagon since 2009 and is one of the most respected female fighters in the world. Not only does she have an extensive resume in competing at the highest level, but also a very impressive record with wins over some of the best fighters in her division, such as Jessica Eye, Sarah Kaufman, Cris Cyborg Justino and Joanne Calderwood.
Bohm started her career training Muay Thai kickboxing before transitioning to MMA full time when she was 21 years old. After two years of hard work and dedication to her craft, she was signed by Bellator MMA where she had seven successful fights on their roster. During this period Mandy became known for her aggressive stand up style which earned her great respect from fans all around the world leading to one of biggest achievements so far being chosen to represent Australia at UFC193 held in Melbourne alongside Ronda Rousey against Holly Holm.
After three solid performances inside The Octagon for UFC Bohm decided it was time for a break from competing; however during those two years out of action Mandy kept busy traveling extensively around Asia teaching seminars promoting Australian combat sports while continuing living a healthy lifestyle despite no longer actively competing. Her passion for fitness never died during this period and when an opportunity came up again later on that year offering another fight under then newly formed InvictaFC banner which caught her attention almost immediately due to its diversity within women’s divisions thus reigniting Mandy’s competitive spirit once again making it official that The Iron Lady had officially returned with five straight victories throughout 2019-2020 regaining spectacular form seen previously during UFC era further establishing herself into top 5 ranks worldwide within Strawweight division all before age 30 mark even being reached yet giving more hope than ever onto upcoming success awaiting into near future..
Today Mandy trains out of TigerMuayThai gym located in Thailand where many other international stars such as Valentina Shevchenko or Israel Adesanya are based at regularly placing herself among World’s Elite finding persistent motivation day after day towards achieving greater goals setting new standards within Martial Arts disciplines reminding us why we fell love with combat sports first place – overcoming odds through skill & heart!
