BIOGRAPHY
Louis Cosce is a professional American Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) fighter, currently signed to the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). He is in the welterweight division and known for his strong wrestling game.
Cosce started training MMA in 2010 when he was 19 years old, after graduating high school. Before that, he had an extensive background in Greco-Roman wrestling and Judo. His first amateur fight happened one year later at “Knockout Kings” event under the King of The Cage promotion. After amassing 6 wins as an amateur he decided to turn pro in 2014. In his pro debut fight, Louis won by submission via rear naked choke and proved early on that he has what it takes to hang with the pros – even if his 5’11” frame does not look imposing compared to some of the other fighters at 170 lbs limit class.
In 2016 Cosce made it onto Dana White’s Contender Series 9 where he easily defeated Tyler Hill by unanimous decision earning him a contract with UFC where he still competes today. As of now Louis has taken part in 7 fights under UFC banner accumulating 4 wins out of those fights – all by KO/TKO or submission methods which demonstrates how well rounded his game is. Although none of his opponents so far were Top 10 ranked fighters, Louis has been steadily rising up through ranks being awarded “Performance Of The Night” bonus twice already – once for TKO victory against Sasha Palatnikov and another time for controversial split decision win over Victor Reyna at UFC Vegas 8 event held last August 2020 which marks just one month ago from this writing date (September 15th 2020).
He continues to train diligently every day alongside some popular world-class mixed martial artists such as Bellator Light Heavyweight Champion Ryan Bader who helps him prepare for upcoming fights at Fight Ready Gym located near Phoenix Arizona area where both fighters live these days along with many other professional MMA athletes present there too such as British standout Tom Breese whom you may know from recent Shogun Fights 22 tournament held this past June 2020 featuring exciting knockout performances by multiple competitors including Louis himself who stopped David Mundell within very first round prompting fans around world cheering their approval while watching live stream broadcasted online from Maryland USA location hosting said competition event produced specifically during COVID-19 pandemic situation affecting sports activities around globe thus making us all appreciate moments like these even more than usual!
