BIOGRAPHY
Kron Gracie is an American mixed martial artist, jiu-jitsu practitioner, and professional grappler. He is the son of legendary Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu master Rickson Gracie and the nephew of Royce Gracie. He has trained in multiple disciplines including wrestling, judo and Muay Thai, but he prefers Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.
Kron was born in Rio de Janeiro on December 7th 1988, to parents Rickson and Kim Gracie. His father was a renowned Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu master who had won both the no holds barred fighting tournaments Vale Tudo Japan 1994 and UFC 5 two years later. His uncle Royce had also made history as one of the first Mixed Martial Arts fighters to win a UFC event at UFC 1 in 1993. As such Kron was raised within a family steeped not only with talent in their respective sport but also respect for their traditional martial arts roots that went back generations within their family lineage – originating from Helio Gracie’s teachings.
At age nine Kron began his training under his father’s tutelage when he joined Rickson’s academy in Rio de Janeiro then called “Gracie Humaitá”. After spending much time learning from his father there he eventually moved to Los Angeles around 2007 where he continued to train at various gyms as well as teach classes out at his own gym located near UCLA campus — The University of California Los Angeles (UCLA).
In 2009 after winning numerous championships across different competitions (such as Pan American Championships) it became clear just how serious Kron took this sport; although more importantly it seemed like he genuinely enjoyed competing which pushed him onward into bigger challenges – particularly when it came to joining full contact MMA fights professionally post 2010 onwards.. In 2013 after accumulating an impressive record 10 wins 0 losses – having competed mostly within Japan or Brazil – Kron decided it was time for him make his mark on a bigger stage than previously done before by challenging himself into larger promotions such USA based Ultimate Fighting Championship or “UFC” organization where his other family members have achieved success through out the past decades prior so far… Upon debuting late 2015 with 3 consecutive finishes against higher ranked opponents – garnering attention from MMA fans alike worldwide due to these results along side showcasing world class grappling skills each battle – Kron became known as one of most promising prospects fighter wise coming out from that year .
