BIOGRAPHY
Khusein Askhabov is an up-and-coming professional Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) fighter currently signed to the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). Born on December 10th, 1995 in Grozny, Russia, Khusein started his career in MMA at a very young age. He began training at just 13 years old and competed in his first amateur fight when he was only 15. After two more amateur fights he made the jump to professional competition at the age of 18.
Since then Khusein has achieved great success with a current record of 17 wins and 2 losses in MMA. His most successful achievement came as a result of winning the lightweight World Series Of Fighting Global Championship title as well as being crowned Russian champion three times – once each for welterweight and middleweight divisions and another championship win in feather weight division.
Known for his technical striking skills, Khusein is often compared to UFC legends such as Fedor Emelianenko or Georges St Pierre due to his strong wrestling background combined with effective Muay Thai boxing style strikes. He has also trained extensively under Renzo Gracie who taught him Brazilian Jiu Jitsu which gave him further knowledge on ground fighting techniques both offensively and defensively which complements his standup game perfectly creating a complete mixed martial artist ready for any situation that may arise during competitive bouts within the cage or octagon respectively.
As part of one of Russia’s top teams Red Fury Fight Team, Khusein Askhabov holds black belts in Judo and Sambo from Dagestan State University making him an even more dangerous foe against opponents whether striking or grappling wise inside the ring/cage/octagon whatever it may be!
Despite being relatively young within this profession, Askhbav already boasts experience from several promotions including Eurasia Fight Nights where he held light heavyweight titles before moving onto M-1 Global where he gained considerable respect after taking out multiple prominent contenders such as Maxim Divnich whom he defeated by TKO via punches earlier last year – earning himself ‘ knock out of night ’ honors due to this impressive win over such an experienced opponent worthy enough mention!
Now signed into UFC family it will be interesting to see how far can Askhbov go? Will we witness greatness unfold between these 4 strings ? Only time will tell but one thing is certain: The future looks bright for our Russian fighter!
