Josiane Nunes

BIOGRAPHY

Josiane Nunes is a professional mixed martial artist from Brazil who currently competes in the Ultimate Fighting Championship’s bantamweight division. Born on June 28, 1989, in Ceara, Brazil, Nunes began her career at the age of 15 and won multiple titles before eventually making her way to the UFC. She made her official debut with the promotion on October 10th, 2020 in Las Vegas against fellow Brazilian Viviane Araujo. The fight ended up being one of Nunes’ most impressive performances as she earned a unanimous decision victory over Araujo.

Nunes has been involved with martial arts since she was young and first started training Jiu Jitsu when she was 13 years old. After competing in various competitions throughout Brazil she eventually decided to make MMA her focus after attending an MMA gym near where she lived when she was 17. She quickly gained experience in several organizations throughout South America including Jungle Fight and Bellator before ultimately signing with the UFC in 2020 at age 31.

Since joining the UFC Nunes has looked nothing short of spectacular inside of the octagon as evidenced by her first win against Araujo which earned “Fight of The Night” honors from Dana White himself. Having already faced some tough competition during his time outside of the UFC it appears that Josiane is focused on taking things to another level now that he has reached this stage as evident by his current six-fight winning streak overall (4-0 since joining UFC). With a well rounded skillset including excellent striking technique combined with powerful takedowns and crisp submissions it looks like there’s no telling how far Josiane will go within this sport if given enough opportunities moving forward here within this organization..

Outside of fighting Nunes also enjoys spending time volunteering for charities back home whenever possible while also helping coach young fighters at local gyms across Brazil when not actively training herself or preparing for fights upcoming ones coming up soon here within this league as well any others outside if they ever happen to take place somewhere else around world too somewhere else later down line again sometime soon hopefully once times normal people can travel again more freely without worrying about covid19 pandemic still being issue right now all over planet earth everywhere today unfortunately these days so everyone still needs stay safe healthy out there for sure until gets better much sooner rather than later..
