Joseph Benavidez

Joseph Benavidez is a professional mixed martial artist who fights in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). He began his career as an MMA fighter in 2005 and has since become one of the most successful fighters in the sport.

Benavidez was born on July 31, 1984, in San Antonio, Texas. Growing up, he had an interest in martial arts and eventually started training for MMA at age 15. As time progressed, he continued to hone his skills and eventually became a part of Team Alpha Male—a training camp that focuses on developing world-class fighters—in 2008. While there, Benavidez learned from renowned coaches like Urijah Faber and Duane Ludwig as well as fellow teammates like Chad Mendes and T.J Dillashaw.

In 2009, Joseph made his UFC debut at The Ultimate Fighter: US vs UK Finale where he defeated Brian Caraway via split decision. Since then he has gone on to establish himself as one of the greatest flyweights ever with seven wins out of his last ten bouts including victories over Demetrious Johnson twice for the Flyweight title fight but failed to win it both times due to illegal knee strikes by Johnson during their championship bout which resulted him having two losses against him by a similar way..

In 2017 Joseph signed with UFC Fight Pass after having a few months break from fighting against other high class opponents . Throughout his career , Benavidez has demonstrated exceptional technical ability when it comes to striking , wrestling , jiu jitsu and conditioning . He is always looking for ways to improve upon each aspect . Moreover , he also trains frequently with Triple C gym’s under coach Mark Henry & Ricardo Almeida which involves boxing sparring sessions alongside UFC champions Chris Weidman & Frankie Edgar amongst many others .

Aside from fighting professionally within the octagon , Joseph is highly involved within charity work through various organizations such as Food For Life Global & MyGoodDayshop combating hunger all over India – providing vegetarian meals every day ! Furthermore when not competing or working together with charities , Benjamin still enjoys practicing different forms of martial arts such as Muay Thai kickboxing & BJJ Byu-jutsu amongst various others too !

Alongside being an amazing athlete inside/outside Octagon ring – Benavidez can be seen appearing on Fox sports talk shows regularly discussing recent news within MMA industry while offering own insights into upcoming events too ! Every now & again you may even catch him doing some commentating roles along side remarkable color commentator Joe Rogan .
