Josefine Knutsson is a Swedish professional mixed martial artist currently competing in the UFC’s women’s strawweight division. She made her UFC debut against Livia Renata Souza at UFC Fight Night: Overeem vs. Volkov on June 20, 2020.

Knutsson was born and raised in Gothenburg, Sweden. As an adolescent she was very active, playing soccer and practicing martial arts such as karate and kickboxing before deciding to focus solely on MMA after finishing school at age 18. Since then she has gone on to become one of the top female fighters in Europe with notable wins over Karolina Kowalkiewicz at Invicta FC 29, Sabina Mazo at Invicta FC 37, and most recently Trisha Cicero at Cage Warriors 107 to win the Strawweight title.

Knutsson started her training under Roger Huerta’s coach Darrick Minner who also helped train former UFC champion Tj Dillashaw; however she is now coached by Uriah Faber alongside another future contending star Tatiana Suarez from Team Alpha Male gym located in Sacramento California . She trains hard believing that only through constant work would help achieve success as a fighter which has been proven true due to her impressive record. Her coaches speak highly of her dedication noting that when asked what motivates her she simply states “I want it all” referring not just winning but excellence within herself as well

The 25 year old Swede stands 5 feet 4 inches tall with an impressive array of techniques ranging from Muay Thai elbows to slick grappling submissions having achieved both purple belt Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu skill level as well as black belts for Taekwondo & Karate giving opponents a variety of ways they could be beaten by this talented young fighter . Knutsson has had an incredible rise thus far in the world of MMA going 12-1-0 since 2016 (winning 12 out 13 bouts) including stops in multiple promotions such Bellator , Euro Fight Championship & Cage Warriors . Most recently being signed by The Ultimate Fighting Championship where many fans believe we will see even better performances from this rising European star!
