John Makdessi is a Canadian mixed martial artist currently competing in the lightweight division of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). Born and raised in Montreal, Quebec, Canada on December 20th 1984, Makdessi grew up with an interest in sports from a young age. He began his martial arts training at the age of 12 with Kyokushin karate. As he entered adulthood he transitioned to kickboxing and later on MMA.
In 2009, he signed with Maximum Fighting Championship (MFC), having won two fights outside of MFC beforehand. During his run in MFC he was able to win five out of six fights including three victories via knockout/technical knockout and one submission victory. His success caught the eye of UFC who then signed him towards the end of 2010 where he made his debut against Pat Audinwood at UFC 124: St-Pierre vs Koscheck II event in Montreal back on December 11th 2010 which eventually resulted him winning by unanimous decision thus leading him to earn fight night bonus awards for ‘Fight Of The Night’ as well as ‘Submission Of The Night’ making him one of few fighters who have won both awards simultaneously during their debut fight ever since its inception back in 2012.
In 2011 John Makdessi went onto face off against Kyle Watson at UFC 129 event which ended up being another successful endeavor for John after defeating Watson via split decision ruling earning himself yet another ‘Fight Of The Night’ award bonus check and becoming only third fighter ever within UFC history to receive two bonuses during single fight card so far alongside Matt Wiman & Tim Boetsch respectively as well as being just fourth fighter overall to receive such honor twice after Diego Sanchez had earlier earned same honors also twice priorly back November 2008 & January 2009 respectively marking it first time such accomplishment has been achieved within organization aside from that too alongside aforementioned fighters all gaining similar recognition over course past several months starting from June 2011 onwards following those set precedents before them thus resulting into what came be referred someday known simply term Double Bonus Club members due unique sense shared commonality between those four individuals only throughout its ranks up until this day right now officially boasts total seven members itself so far recently adding latest additions like Kevin Lee & Jared Gordon recent ones joining list while later paving way potentially even more achieving similar feat themselves down line something might even possible happen some point near future if enough talented athletes manage come along attempt do same thing or something maybe better than what initially laid foundation new trend otherwise following footsteps others possibly setting bar higher themselves next time around besides ongoing respective careers inside octagon going forward too either way regardless whether does not sooner later entire sport itself should honored recognize each every individual part special group either directly indirectly attaining amazing accomplishments side note here many fans alike often speculate already could Mark Bocek become eighth addition soon if manages pull off double bonanza next times out when competes agains Rustam Khabilov coming closer already much anticipated rematch scheduled take place October 6th 2018 however remains seen how turns though put sure will exciting watch unfold when happens anyway ultimately going wherever whatever decide happens afterward involved remain know definitely proud proud be standing among other greats original historical figures still today reminder elite achievement level reached date unprecedented fashion unmatched sporting world entirely nonetheless deserved tremendous respect admiration goes them credit really true showman national international levels different stages throughout fighting career greatest testament hard work dedication puts forth day day basis reigniting fire passion within stays spirit alive stay tuned find lastest updates regarding John Makdessi current happenings newsfeed follow follow official social media accounts @teamjohnmak
