Jarjis Danho is a mixed martial artist and professional fighter who competes in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) heavyweight division. Born in Lebanon on April 11, 1983, Danho grew up training in kickboxing and boxing while living there before relocating to the United Kingdom in 2002.
He started his amateur fighting career with Cage Warriors Fighting Championship at age 20. During his five years as an amateur MMA athlete, he competed eleven times and achieved eight victories. After turning professional in 2009 at age 26, he was signed to Cage Warriors for another two years competing seven times with six wins under his belt by the end of 2011.
In 2012, when Jarjis got signed to compete for UFC he moved to Dubai where he trained extensively both physically and mentally with fellow Lebanese-born mixed martial arts fighter Elias Silverio who was part of the Blackzilians coaching team based out of Florida at that time.
Danho made his long awaited UFC debut on July 12th 2015 against Daniel Omielanczuk at Fight Night 72 which held place Glasgow Scotland winning via TKO due to punches within 2:43 minutes into round one thus claiming victory over Omielanczuk – this marked an impressive start towards his professional career . Jarjis had been training since early 2014; however being able to showcase such performance after only one fight earned him much praise from fans worldwide . In 2016 , Danho faced Timothy Johnson during The Ultimate Fighter 23 Finale event taking place once again in Las Vegas Nevada ; even though Johnson ended up winning via unanimous decision it still remains one of Jarjis’ toughest fights till date especially because it took place shortly after recovering from a knee injury that caused him some setbacks earlier that year .
Following this match , Danho took quite some time off while attending physical therapy sessions prior signing up for Fight Night Moscow later that same year facing Russian heavyweight prospect Alexander Volkov yet unfortunately losing another unanimous decision – despite not having any wins during his last three bouts , Dana White claims “Jarjise puts all heart into each fight no matter what” hinting towards potential comeback opportunities soon enough provided necessary arrangements are met according to agreements between both strategic partners .
Overall , it is safe to say Jarij has experienced success throughout short but intense amount of time ever since joining UFC back in 2015 . He currently holds 5-2 record overall as well as three Knockouts including two Submission victories making him threat against most opponents if given proper chance which many believe will happen sooner than expected given current circumstances ..
