Irina Alekseeva is a mixed martial artist and an Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) athlete. She was born in the Ukraine on May 24th, 1997, and has since become one of the most well-known MMA fighters in the world.
Alekseeva started her career at just 12 years old when she joined a local kickboxing club near her home village of Lutsk. Her parents feared for their daughter’s safety but supported her decision to pursue martial arts as best they could. After competing in more than 30 amateur kickboxing bouts across Europe, she decided to make the move into professional MMA at the age of 19 after signing with Russian Fight Nights Global (RFNG) promotion.
At RFNG, Alekseeva quickly made a name for herself and earned a reputation as an aggressive fighter with great submissions skills, characterized by powerful ground strikes from top position and slick submission holds such as armlocks or triangles from guard positions. In 2018 she won two tournament titles within RFNG’s lightweight division before making history that same year when she became the first woman ever signed to compete under UFC banner on August 21st 2018..
Since then ,Alekseeva hasn’t looked back and continues to impress both fans of UFC viewers alike with her performances inside Octagon which have gotten even better over time .She currently boasts an impressive 8-2 record in professional fight games including four stunning knockouts against notable opponents like Ashley Yoder whom she knocked out just 69 seconds into their bout at UFC Fight Night 159: Rodriguez vs Stephens event held on September 21st 2019 .
Furthermore ,Irina also works hard outside octagon too where can be seen engaging in charitable activities across The Ukraine alongside running regular training seminars designed to help aspiring young martial artists reach their goals .Her dedication towards helping others has not gone unnoticed either ;In 2020 alone ,she received numerous accolades including nomination for “Best Female Fighter” award presented by Ukrainian Sports Newspaper FEMALE SPORT MAGAZINE which gave further testament towards how much impactful work Irina does offscreen too !
