HyunSung Park is a Korean MMA fighter, currently competing in the UFC Featherweight division. Born on November 28th 1985 in Seoul South Korea, HyunSung began training in martial arts from an early age. He eventually made his way to Tucson Arizona where he trained at Team Brooks and won multiple amateur titles before turning professional.
Park made his pro debut with a win by submission (armbar) over Erick Silva at the RFA 10 event on June 13th 2013. He then went 8-2 during his time there, defeating notable fighters such as David Nuzzelo and Anthony Avila while being crowned RFA featherweight champion.
On March 6th 2016, Hyunsung signed with the UFC making his promotional debut against Yair Rodriguez at The Ultimate Fighter Latin America 3 Finale event on November 5th 2016; which he lost via second round TKO (doctor stoppage). However this marked just the start of Park’s success in the organisation as after bouncing back with two wins over Teruto Ishihara and Rolando Dy; he cinched an impressive first round armbar victory over Andre Fili at UFC 227 – Dillashaw vs Garbrandt 2 on August 4th 2018 solidifying himself as one of the top contenders for the featherweight belt.
Having got off to a brilliant start since joining the highest level of mixed martial arts promotion; HyunSung looks set to continue climbing up those rankings further when he faces off against Sodiq Yusuff at UFC Fight Night: Overeem vs Harris – scheduled for May 16th 2020 . Aside from getting into excellent physical shape ahead of each fight , it’s been revealed that outside of fighting Park has also been studying English & Spanish language classes along with researching marketing strategies to use post-career path ; showing us that like many other athletes within this sport , there’s more than just mere talent involved here but rather hard work and dedication put towards bettering oneself both inside & outisde of competition surroundings no doubt motivating him even further down this long road full stop
