BIOGRAPHY

Assu Almabayev is an up and coming MMA fighter from Kazakhstan. He began his career in 2016, and since then has been making waves in the UFC lightweight division.

Almabayev started training at a young age, competing in amateur kickboxing tournaments as early as 14 years old. By 18, he had already earned himself several national championships titles in both Karate and Kickboxing. It was at this time that Almabayev decided to take his martial arts skills to the next level by transitioning to mixed martial arts competition.

Almabayev’s transition into professional MMA was not easy – despite his impressive background in karate and kickboxing he still needed time to adjust to the rules of MMA competition before being able to make an impact on the international stage. His first two fights were losses – however when facing tougher opposition for his third fight, he showed true grit and determination by earning a well-deserved victory over experienced journeyman Eric Tanasov via submission due armbar submission in Round 2 of their fight at Eurasian Fighting Championship #5: Battle Of The Titans event on October 19th 2017 – which even caught the eye of UFC president Dana White who offered him a contract with UFC shortly after!

Since joining up with UFC Almabayev has gone 3-1 with wins over Damir Ismagulov, Enrique Barzola & Matt Sayles whilst suffering a loss to Chris Gruetzemacher back at Fight Night 131 which deserves credit considering all three opponents are ranked fighters much higher than him (Ismagulov currently sits 10th place according ESPN rankings). This record shows just how far Assu has come since beginning his career only three years ago – it also goes without saying that given Ass’s track record so far there is certainly room for growth within this promising young fighter.

Despite only having four fights under his belt thus far, it’s clear that Almabayev already possesses great potential thanks mainly due mainly thanks to natural talent combined with sheer willpower and dedication towards self-improvement every day – traits which are sure signs of what could be one very bright future indeed for Assu if continues down this path!
