Askar Mozharov is a professional mixed martial artist from Russia who competes in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). He has an impressive record of 11 wins and 1 loss, with five of those victories coming by way of knockout or technical knockout.
Mozharov was born on May 13th, 1991, in Nizhny Tagil, Sverdlovsk Oblast located in the Ural Mountains region of Russia. As a child he practiced traditional martial arts such as judo and sambo which lead to his eventual discovery by coaches when looking for talent at local tournaments. After gaining further recognition through online videos showcasing his skillset he signed with Fight Nights Global promotion; here he would earn seven consecutive victories over notable opponents before being signed to UFC in 2019.
Since becoming part of the UFC roster, Mozharov has put together a string of impressive performances against top-ranked opponents including former flyweight champion Tim Elliott and Russia’s own Magomed Mustafaev. His most recent fight was against Jordan Espinosa which saw him secure a unanimous decision victory after three rounds of action inside the octagon. This win put his overall record at 11 wins with one loss showing that despite being relatively new to MMA competition, he is more than capable on taking on some stiff competition within UFC’s ranks and holding his own within them.
Outside of competing for UFC, Askar remains active offscreen by giving back to communities all around Rusia through charitable work that focuses mainly on helping children get access to better education opportunities and resources they wouldn’t otherwise have without support from outside sources. So far this has included raising money towards disadvantaged schools while also sponsoring sports equipment so students can stay active during their free time away from school classes
Through his charitable works Askar hopes not only make life better for others but inspire young people into believing they too can achieve great things if they persevere hard enough regardless where their current environment may place them at any given moment in life. Askar states” “It doesn’t matter where you come from or how difficult your circumstances are.. If you want it bad enough you will go out there get it no matter what stands between you achieving that goal”
