BIOGRAPHY
Amir Albazi is a professional mixed martial artist from Stockholm, Sweden. He currently competes in the Flyweight division of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC).
Albazi started his martial arts career in 2009 at UFC Gym Stockholm. His grappling and wrestling background made him a perfect fit for MMA and he quickly rose to prominence on the Swedish amateur scene. After an impressive 10-1 record as an amateur fighter, Alabza decided to turn pro in 2014.
In 2016, Alabza won his first title by capturing the EFC Worldwide Flyweight Championship belt with a unanimous decision victory over John Robinson at EFC Worldwide: The Stampede 2. After defending that title three times, Albazi joined Bellator MMA where he earned two victories before signing with UFC in December 2019.
At just 28 years old, Amir Albazi is one of the most promising up-and-coming fighters on the UFC roster today. He stands 5 feet 7 inches tall and has a reach of 68 inches which allows him to utilize both striking and grappling techniques effectively during fights – something that has been key to his success so far.
Albazis’s fighting style can best be described as “well rounded” because it incorporates elements from multiple disciplines including Muay Thai kickboxing, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ), wrestling and judo into its foundation in order to give himself an advantage when competing against opponents who may specialize only in one area or another..
In March 2020 he made his long awaited debut at UFC Fight Night 170 where he defeated Malcolm Gordon via second round submission due to rear naked choke hold–establishing himself as a formidable contender for future fights within this elite organization . As part of his preparation for upcoming bouts , Amir trains year round with renowned coaches Mike Perry , Elias Garcia , Carlos Condit & Brett Osborn out of Albuquerque & Las Vegas gyms .He also works closely with performance coach Cameron Laird helping him stay physically & mentally conditioned while providing strategic insight into each fight .
With such great potential still left untapped , there is no doubt we will continue seeing great things come out of this talented young fighter throughout 2021 & beyond ! His fighting spirit coupled with technical skill have already proven time & again why he deserves all attention being bestowed upon him—making sure everyone knows “The Prince” will reign supreme inside octagon !
