BIOGRAPHY

Carlos Condit is one of the most accomplished mixed martial artists in the world. He currently fights for UFC, and has been fighting since 2002. Born in Albuquerque, New Mexico, on April 26th, 1984, Carlos has had a life-long passion for combat sports. He began his combat journey at the ripe age of 8 when he started training in taekwondo and kickboxing with his father. As he grew older he was drawn to boxing and jiu-jitsu as well and would eventually earn a black belt in both disciplines by age 20.

In 2002 Carlos made his MMA debut at an event called King Of The Rockies 2 where he defeated John Gunderson via submission due to strikes after just 13 seconds of round 1. From there Carlos competed mainly locally until 2006 where things started to take off for him following four consecutive victories by stoppage which earned him a place on UFC’s ‘The Ultimate Fighter 5’ show alongside other notables such as Joe Lauzon, Nate Diaz and Gray Maynard among others. Following this appearance Carlos won his next two bouts against Kyle Jensen and Frank Trigg respectively before making his official octagon debut with WEC (World Extreme Cagefighting) against John Alessio which saw him victorious after three rounds via unanimous decision win putting himself firmly on the map as one of MMA’s top prospects at Welterweight division .

From that point onwards over the course of nearly nine years with UFC (UFC 22 being Condit’s first fight), ‘the Natural Born Killer’ went on to become one of the most successful welterweights ever having racked up an impressive record including wins over Dan Hardy , Martin Kampmann , Rory MacDonald , Thiago Alves & Nick Diaz among others earning himself various awards along way including Knockout Of The Night honors twice plus Fight Of The Night five times along with Submission Of The Night once & Performance Of The Night twice proving what a complete fighter he was during prime time run within promotion .

In addition Condit also held numerous championship titles throughout career such as winning WEC Welterweight Championship title against Hiromitsu Miura back in 2008 while also coming close to taking out UFC Welterweight Championship title from then champion Georges St Pierre but ultimately lost via split decision despite outpacing champion majority of fight often being cited today as possibly best performances from GSP came from that night alone .

Despite reaching status quite early into career due largely great success inside cage most recently topped off 2017 comeback win vs Neil Magny it appears unfortunately may be curtains for Carlos Condit who not too long ago announced plans retirement however should certainly be remembered fondly amongst fans community worldwide given sheer amount achievements accomplishments achieved through illustrious career spanning 17 years so far .
