Raised in Wesley Chapel, Florida, McKitty initiated his high school career at Wesley Chapel High School. After completing his freshman year, he transferred to the IMG Academy located in Bradenton, Florida. McKitty continued to improve in his sophomore year, making 26 catches for 256 yards and scoring two touchdowns. Completing his junior season at Florida State with 23 receptions for 241 yards, McKitty graduated a year early. As his college journey came to an end, he decided to enter the transfer portal.
Entering a new phase in his career, McKitty transferred to Georgia Bulldogs, where he could participate immediately due to his status as a graduate transfer. Shortly after joining the Bulldogs, he demonstrated his ability to adapt and excel, becoming a starter for Georgia three games into the 2020 season. By the end of his tenure with the Bulldogs, he had made six receptions for 108 yards, including a touchdown, a testament to McKitty’s growing prowess on the playing field.

However, two years into his time with the Chargers, McKitty was released on October 31, 2023. A week later, on November 7, the Buffalo Bills signed him to their practice squad. His exceptional talents were once again recognized, and he signed a reserve/future contract on January 22, 2024.
Despite his ongoing improvement, McKitty’s time with the Bills concluded during the final roster cuts, and he was released on August 27, 2024. Today, McKitty stands as a free agent, empowered by his vast experience and exceptional skills as a professional football player.
