Travis Etienne Jr.'s Biography

Travis Etienne Jr. is an American football running back who has been a standout player for the Clemson Tigers since 2017. He was born on January 26, 1998 in Jennings, Louisiana to Travis and Stephanie Etienne Sr. During his high school career at Jennings High School, he was named the District 5-3A Offensive MVP while also playing basketball and track & field there.

In college, Travis began as a backup running back to Wayne Gallman when he arrived at Clemson in 2015 but eventually worked his way into the starting lineup after two years of redshirting—becoming one of the most dynamic players to wear the orange and purple in recent memory. During his time with Clemson, he amassed over 4500 rushing yards which ranks him second all-time behind C.J Spiller’s record (5105). He also holds several other records such as being first all-time in touchdown runs (68) and scoring touchdowns (84). His greatest season came during 2019 where at 21 years old he rushed for over 2000 yards with 24 touchdowns earning him ACC Player Of The Year honors along with becoming just the fourth unanimous All-American from Clemson University ever selected by Associated Press voters .

Offensively intelligent beyond belief and undeniably talented athletically , it’s no wonder why many NFL scouts have praised his work ethic during pre-draft workouts . Although undrafted entering this year’s draft , there were still teams vying for Etienne services before finally being chosen by Jacksonville Jaguars with their 25th pick overall . Currently listed as a starter on their depth chart , expectations are high for this rookie phenom that wont shy away from any challenge placed upon him .
