Raheem Blackshear Bio
Raheem Blackshear is an American football running back and return specialist from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He was born on June 5, 1998, attended Archbishop Wood Catholic High School, and is listed at 5 feet 9 inches and 190 pounds. Blackshear began his college career at Rutgers before transferring to Virginia Tech, where he played running back, receiver and returner. Virginia Tech described him as a versatile player with receiving ability, physicality and the intelligence to handle multiple assignments.
Blackshear entered the NFL in 2022 as an undrafted free agent with the Buffalo Bills. Buffalo released him on August 30, 2022, and added him to its practice squad the next day. Carolina signed him to its active roster on September 22, 2022, beginning a three-season Panthers stint in which he contributed as a running back and kick returner.
