Bobby Okereke is an NFL linebacker for the Carolina Panthers as of September 16, 2026. Carolina signed him to a one-year contract on August 31, 2026, after the New York Giants released him on March 5, 2026. He wears No. 58 and is listed at 6-foot-2 and 235 pounds. Okereke entered the NFL with Indianapolis, where the Colts selected him in the third round of the 2019 NFL Draft.
A Santa Ana, California, native, Okereke played inside linebacker at Stanford. He redshirted in 2014, became a full-time starter, served as a 2018 team captain and earned All-Pac-12 honorable mention in each of his final two college seasons. Stanford listed him as a management science and engineering graduate who pursued a master’s degree in media studies. His profile as a rangy, instinctive defender with the ability to pursue plays across the field helped make him a third-round selection. During his three seasons with the Giants, he was voted a team captain each year and was the club’s 2025 Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year Award recipient.
