Nicholas Jamaal Chubb, also known as Nick Chubb, is a highly talented and accomplished American professional football player who currently acts as a running back for the Cleveland Browns, a top-flight team in the National Football League (NFL). Born on December 27, 1995, Chubb has had a highly successful career that has seen him named to four Pro Bowls.

He began his journey to athletic stardom at Cedartown High School in Cedartown, Georgia, where he was a dual threat for the Bulldogs’ football and track teams. In June 2013, Chubb committed to the University of Georgia to play college football under the guidance of head coach Mark Richt. Starting as a backup to future NFL running back Todd Gurley, he quickly rose to prominence when Gurley was suspended, taking over as the starting running back. Highlights of this period include his first start where he rushed for 143 yards on 38 carries at Missouri, and a game against Arkansas where he ran for 202 yards and scored two touchdowns. Despite starting in just eight games as a freshman, he finished with 1,547 rushing yards, placing second in the SEC.

In July 2021, Chubb inked a three-year, $36.6 million contract extension with the Browns, further solidifying his reputation as one of the league’s top running backs. Despite missing several games due to a COVID-19 diagnosis, he wrapped up the 2021 season with 1,259 rushing yards and eight rushing touchdowns, finishing second in the league in rushing yards.
