Nick Chubb Bio
Nick Chubb is a retired American football running back whose NFL career concluded in 2026 after eight seasons. Born December 27, 1995, he played college football at the University of Georgia, where he became a team captain, earned All-SEC recognition and helped the Bulldogs win the SEC championship and the Rose Bowl during the 2017 season. Georgia lists Chubb at 5 feet 10 inches and 225 pounds.
The Cleveland Browns selected Chubb in the second round of the 2018 NFL Draft with the 35th overall pick. He spent the early portion of his professional career in Cleveland, becoming a four-time Pro Bowl selection and one of the league’s most respected power runners. The NFL characterized his style as that of a primary ball carrier who combines lower-body strength and contact balance with the ability to run through arm tackles.
Chubb returned from a major knee injury suffered at Georgia in 2015 and later overcame another serious knee injury during his NFL career. He returned to the field with Cleveland in 2024, then played for the Houston Texans before announcing his retirement in 2026. His career was defined by downhill running, patience through the line, balance through contact and a powerful finishing style.
