Madre Harper's Biography

Madison Harper, commonly known as Madre, is a renowned American professional football cornerback who was born on October 13, 1997. Over his football career, Madison has transitioned between several teams and currently plays for the Birmingham Stallions of the United Football League (UFL).

After finishing his college football career with the Southern Illinois Salukis, Madison caught his first break when he was signed by the Las Vegas Raiders in 2020 as an undrafted free agent. While initially being waived during final roster cuts on September 5, 2020, Madison quickly bounced back and entered the team’s practice squad the next day. Though he was promoted to the active roster for a game in late September, he did not participate in the match and immediately reverted to the squad.

However, Madison’s brief journey with the Raiders came to a close when the New York Giants offered him a contract. Giving up his role in the Raiders’ practice squad, he officially joined the Giants on October 1, 2020. Leaving no stone unturned, Madison managed to secure a contract extension by January 2021, despite having been placed on injured reserve due to an unforeseen health setback in December 2020. He was also deemed fit for return and activated off of injured reserve in the early days of the new year.

Unfortunately, the upward trajectory was cut short when the Giants decided to waive Madison at the end of August 2021, which led him back to the Las Vegas Raiders’ practice squad briefly in September. His stint concluded quickly there as well, as he was waived again within a fortnight. His tenacity shone through as Madison re-entered the professional field towards the end of September 2021, being signed to the Carolina Panthers practice squad.

During his time with the Panthers, Madison managed to legally bind himself with a future contract for the subsequent year in January 2022. Regrettably, he was let go again at the end of August that year, only to loop back to the practice squad a day later. Despite these challenging transitions, a new opportunity presented itself when Madison was offered a future contract by the Pittsburgh Steelers in January 2023. However, by late August that year, Madison Harper was once again released.

Not one to be deterred easily, Madison Harper got back on his feet and made a critical career move when he signed with the Birmingham Stallions of the United States Football League in October 2023. Demonstrating impressive performance, he was also picked by the Stallions in the Super Draft portion during the 2024 UFL dispersal draft. His consistency and determination ultimately led the team to bind him with a fresh contract in August 2024.
