Laviska Terrell Shenault Jr. is an American professional football wide receiver and kickoff returner, born on October 5, 1998, known for his exceptional talent and prowess on the field. Following his passion for football from a young age, Laviska has carved an impressive career path through sheer determination, dedication, and decency in sportsmanship.

Born in DeSoto, Texas, Laviska’s passion and flair for football took root in the esteemed DeSoto High School’s sporting grounds. As a senior sporting the DeSoto football jersey, he displayed an impressive performance, making 46 receptions for 825 yards and scoring nine touchdowns. His talent was then further nurtured at the University of Colorado Boulder, where he committed to playing football.

At Colorado, his first-year performance in 2017 was promising with him participating in 12 games and recording seven receptions for 168 yards. As he transitioned into his sophomore year in 2018, he got a place in the starting lineup, elevating his game by recording 11 receptions for 211 yards and an 89-yard touchdown against Colorado State. As the season progressed, his performance kept improving, leading to a total of 86 receptions and 1,011 yards with six touchdowns and supplemented with 115 yards rushing for five more touchdowns by the end of the sophomore year.

In 2019, Laviska demonstrated his resilience, returning from a knee injury to have a memorable season, featuring returning four tackles on a crucial 4th down conversion that set up the winning field goal against Stanford. He concluded his junior year with 764 yards and 6 touchdowns. With these achievements, Laviska closed his college football chapter, opting to declare for the 2020 NFL draft, having made a name for himself as the 11th Buffalo of all time in receiving yards and 8th in receptions.

The NFL welcomed Laviska with the Jacksonville Jaguars selecting him as the 42nd overall pick in the second round of the 2020 NFL draft. His exceptional talent shone brightly in his NFL debut season, helping Jaguars secure victory in the first game against the Indianapolis Colts with a game-tying 18-yard touchdown. He closed the season with 58 receptions for 600 yards.

In 2021, Laviska moved to the limelight courtesy of his remarkable performance against the Cincinnati Bengals where he managed 110 scrimmage yards. His total reception was impressive, standing at 63 for 619 yards, forming a significant layer of his team’s offense strategy.

However, 2022 brought new changes; the Jacksonville Jaguars traded Laviska to the Carolina Panthers. Despite the transition, Laviska’s talent remained untamed, scoring a 67-yard touchdown in his inaugural game with his new team and finishing the season with 27 catches for 272 yards and one touchdown.

Regrettably, 2023 was a challenging year for Laviska as he suffered an ankle injury. His recovery period included placed him on an injured reserve until November of that year. Despite the setback, Laviska’s resilience once again shone, and in 2024, he signed with the Seattle Seahawks as a wide receiver and kickoff returner.
