Jordan Akins

Jordan Akins is a tight end who was born on April 19, 1992, in Locust Grove, Georgia. He attended Union Grove High School and later played college football at the University of Central Florida. UCF lists Akins at 6-foot-4 and identifies him as a tight end during his senior season.

Before returning to football, Akins pursued professional baseball after the Texas Rangers selected him in the third round of the 2010 MLB Draft. He spent four seasons in the Rangers’ farm system before retiring from baseball in 2014 and resuming his football career at UCF.
