As of today, he executes his powerful kicks for the Los Angeles Chargers under the esteemed platform of the National Football League (NFL), proving his prowess as an exceptional punter.

Ever since his time in high school, Scott displayed an inclination towards football. During those years, he was a part of the football team at Mullen High School, Denver, where he managed to impress and amass admiration. His skills were evident on field, with him successfully executing 13 out of 25 field goals; his longest being of 59 yards. Not only that, he also managed to make 69 out of 71 point-after attempts and showcased his kicking power with 4,758 kickoff yards. Such prodigious ability allowed him an array of choices for his college football career, with offers from Arizona, Colorado, and Notre Dame, yet he chose to don the Alabama jersey.

Scott’s journey in football continued as he attended the esteemed University of Alabama from 2014 to 2017, where he played for the Alabama Crimson Tide football team under the tutelage of the illustrious head coach Nick Saban. Not only did he earn a first-team All-Southeastern Conference (SEC) selection in 2014, he was also bestowed with the honor of an All-American title by reputed platforms like Sporting News, Sports Illustrated, ESPN, and USA Today. His performance continued to improve as he was once again named to the first-team All-SEC roster in 2016, contributing significantly to Alabama Crimson Tide’s national championships in 2015 and 2017.

Following his stint in college, Scott made waves in the NFL. He was selected as the 172nd overall pick in the fifth round of the 2018 NFL draft by the Green Bay Packers. He was the second amongst the four punters chosen that year. May 4, 2018, marked an important milestone in Scott’s career, as he officially signed his professional contract with the Packers. His glorious performance in his debut match, the Packers’ season opener against the Chicago Bears, proved that his selection was far from mistaken. With four punts for a total of 192 yards, Scott was instrumental in sealing their 24-23 victory. His brilliance was reflected in the stats of his rookie season: a total of 71 punts covering 3,176 yards with an average of 44.73 yards per punt. Additionally, he had a kickoff attempt of 61 yards. His performance in the 2019 season was even more impressive, with 77 punts resulting in 3,386 net yards and an average of 43.97 yards per punt.

However, his stint with the Packers ended when he was released from their roster on August 31, 2021, when Packers traded for punter Corey Bojorquez. The year end brought a new beginning for Scott as he was signed into the active roster of the Jacksonville Jaguars on December 31, 2021.
