In 2017, he transferred again, this time to the University of North Texas. In 2019, Guyton entered the NFL Draft but was undrafted. However, his perseverance once again shone through when he was signed as a free agent by the Dallas Cowboys. Despite impressing during preseason, Guyton was cut from the team, a decision that led him to the Los Angeles Chargers. He finally found stable footing with the Chargers and made his NFL debut in September 2020. That first season with the team was a breakout one for Guyton, as he made 28 receptions for 511 yards and three touchdowns, firmly establishing his place in the NFL.
