Henry Mondeaux's Biography

Henry Mondeaux is a respected American football player, known for his exceptional skills as a nose tackle. Born on September 19, 1995, Mondeaux played college football with the team at the University of Oregon where he earned his reputation as a determined and hardworking player. His commitment to the game was made manifest during the four years he spent at Oregon, an experience that prepared him for his exciting career ahead in the NFL.

Following his college football career, Mondeaux set his eyes on a professional journey in the National Football League (NFL). Recognizing his talent and potential, the New Orleans Saints signed Mondeaux as an undrafted free agent on May 7, 2018. Although he was waived on September 1, Mondeaux quickly secured a spot at the Saints’ practice squad by December 31 where he continued proving his worth for the rest of the season.

The year 2019 began with an exciting twist for Mondeaux as he signed with the Kansas City Chiefs on January 26 under a reserve/future deal. Despite being waived in the same year on May 3, his resilience never faltered. His skills earned him a tryout with the Pittsburgh Steelers in, leading to a contract sign on May 13, 2019.

However, Mondeaux faced yet another setback when he was waived on August 31. Swiftly bouncing back, he was signed to the Steelers’ practice squad the following day where he spent the remainder of the season. Mondeaux’s consistency was recognized by the Steelers, and they re-signed him to a reserve/future contract on December 30, 2019.

As a testament to the dynamic nature of football, Mondeaux was waived again on September 5, 2020. Unfazed, he went on to sign with the practice squad that same year. Notably, on October 23, Mondeaux’s efforts paid off when he was promoted to the active roster.

The year 2021 saw further movement in Mondeaux’s career. On September 3, he was waived once more by the Steelers but swiftly re-signed to the practice squad. An unfortunate injury to teammate Tyson Alualu led to Mondeaux’s promotion to the active roster on September 20.

The following year, on August 30, 2022, Mondeaux was waived by the Steelers. The very next day, the New York Giants recognized his talent and signed him to their practice squad. For weeks 3 and 4 during the 2022 season, Mondeaux was elevated from the practice squad for games against the Dallas Cowboys and Chicago Bears. He was released on August 22, and re-signed to the practice squad on October 23.

The Jacksonville Jaguars recognized Mondeaux’s potential and signed him on March 27, 2023. Unfortunately, Mondeaux faced a health hurdle and was placed on injured reserve on August 14, 2023. He was subsequently released on August 22 of that year, but persevered, signing onto the practice squad once again on October 23. At the close of the season, his practice squad contract expired, leaving Mondeaux currently a free agent. This formidable athlete continues to follow his NFL dream, his passion for the game as unyielding as ever.
