Faion Hicks, born on September 2, 1997, is an established figure in the American professional football landscape. This known cornerback currently plays for the esteemed Seattle Seahawks of the National Football League (NFL). Hicks’ journey towards professional football started in college, where he brilliantly showcased his talent at Wisconsin.

Before his collegiate run, Hicks was recognized as a promising talent straight out of high school. He had been ranked as a three-star recruit by both 247Sports and Rivals.com, opening the gates of opportunity for him. An impressive ten scholarship offers came knocking, from renowned universities such as Appalachian State, Iowa State, and Wisconsin. In later 2016, Hicks committed to Wisconsin, commonly known as the Badgers, and started his official collegiate football career in the following year.

In 2022, Hicks’ career took a massive leap forward as he was selected by the Denver Broncos in the seventh round of the year’s NFL draft, securing the 232nd overall position. This presented opportunities for Hicks to prove his worth in the high-stakes world of professional football. However, his stint with the Broncos was short-lived due to the team’s decision to waive him on August 30, 2022. Despite this setback, Hicks remained undeterred, signing onto the Broncos’ practice squad the following day. Remaining perseverant and dedicated, Hicks was eventually rewarded with a reserve/future contract on January 9, 2023.

Yet, the football field is a notoriously unpredictable arena, and Hicks’ football journey was no exception. On August 29, 2023, he was waived by the Broncos. However, his perseverance kept his career alive. On September 13, 2023, Hicks was signed to the New Orleans Saints practice squad. His tenure at the Saints concluded with the end of the 2023 regular season, but not before the team offered him a reserve/future contract on January 8, 2024. Despite the vote of confidence from the Saints, circumstances led them to waive Hicks on June 17.

Faion Hicks’ passions and determination, however, never wavered. On August 4, 2024, he was signed by the Cleveland Browns. But the ever-changing landscape of professional football came into play again, and Hicks was waived on August 26.

Undeterred, Hicks made his way to the Seattle Seahawks on August 30, 2024. The team had recognized his impressive athletic talent and commitment to the sport, promptly signing Hicks to their practice squad.
