DeAndre Rashaun Hopkins, an American professional footballer, was born on June 6, 1992 and is popularly known by his nicknames “DHop” and “Nuk”. He currently performs as a wide receiver for the Tennessee Titans under the aegis of the National Football League (NFL). Successful players leave their mark in the history of every game they play, and Hopkins is no exception. His journey started with playing college football for the Clemson Tigers, following which he was selected by the Houston Texans in the first round of the 2013 NFL draft. His performance throughout his career has been steadfast, earning him the titles of a five-time Pro Bowler and five-time All-Pro team member. He additionally represented the Arizona Cardinals for a season.

The adorable habit of frequently chewing NUK pacifiers in Hopkins’ infancy led his mother to endearingly nickname him ‘Nuk’. The nickname, pronounced “nuke”, has stayed with him throughout his life. Collegiate football saw Hopkins at Clemson University from 2010 to 2012. Reaching unparalleled heights in 2012, Hopkins made ACC history with 1,405 yards on 82 catches and a school-record 18 touchdowns, resulting in First-team All-Conference honors. His successful partnership with junior quarterback Tajh Boyd and wide receiver Sammy Watkins led to them forming one of the most prolific passing offenses in college football, breaking multiple records.

After foregoing his senior season at Clemson in 2013, Hopkins set his sights on the NFL Draft, exhibiting talent as a valuable prospect.
