Daylen Baldwin's Biography

Daylen Baldwin, a well-established professional football wide receiver, was born on November 24, 1999. The American athlete started his football journey during his high school years before moving into college and professional stages. Despite his promising career, he comfortably embraces the status of a free agent.

In his early years, Baldwin showcased his exceptional talent in football while attending Farmington High School and Waterford Mott High School. It was evident that his passion for the sport was not just a hobby, but a purpose that he aimed to fulfill.

Upon graduating from high school, Baldwin decided to pursue college football, choosing Morgan State as his starting platform. He introduced himself to the college football world with a stunning debut in 2017. As a freshman, Baldwin shined in 11 matches, successfully receiving 16 passes, which equated to 181 receiving yards and one magnificent touchdown.

The following year, Baldwin continued his success story at the sophomore level, where he played 14 games. Proving his mettle, he caught 14 passes for 152 receiving yards and secured another touchdown.

In 2019, Baldwin transferred to Jackson State. Despite his decision to redshirt during the season, he managed to bounce back in the spring 2021 season. During this season, he took center stage in six games, leading the Southwestern Athletic Conference with 27 receptions, covering 540 yards, and scoring seven touchdowns.

Moving forward, the wide receiver’s sterling performance caught the attention of various institutions, sparking a recruiting battle between Ohio State, Penn State, and Michigan. Eventually, his choice was Michigan where he not only boosted his football portfolio but also completed his graduate degree.

In his first game for Michigan, Baldwin made a lasting impression with a striking 69-yard touchdown reception. He followed this up with a 56-yard touchdown reception against Wisconsin, reaffirming his talent on the field.

At the start of 2022, the wide receiver made a monumental decision to declare for the 2022 NFL draft. Not only did he qualify, but he also seized another career-boosting opportunity when he signed with the Cleveland Browns as an undrafted free agent in August 2022.

Although initially waived by the Browns, he was re-signed to the practice squad one day later. Unfortunately, his stay with the Browns ended shortly, and he was waived again in early August 2023.

Baldwin’s journey took him next to Minnesota, where he signed with the Vikings. This encounter was short-lived as he was released in a matter of weeks. Despite this, he was back on the field early in 2024 after signing a reserve/future contract.

His career then took a series of turns as he was waived again in May 2024, signed with the Atlanta Falcons a few weeks later, only to be cut loose in August that same year. A couple of days later, Baldwin penned a deal with the Arizona Cardinals, but regrettably, his stay ended quickly when he was waived later that month.

Being a free agent may be seen as unstable to some, but for Baldwin, it represents his freedom to choose, adapt and always be ready for opportunities – a testament to his resilience and commitment to the game that he so passionately adores.
