Darrynton Evans, born October 12th 1997 in Newnan, Georgia is an American football running back for the Tennessee Titans of the National Football League (NFL). He was drafted by the Titans in the third round of the 2020 NFL Draft.

Growing up, Darrynton attended East Cowetta High School and played football for their varsity team. During his high school career he earned honorable mentions from MaxPreps and Rivals.com as well as being named to first-team All-State after his senior year.

Following graduation from high school, Darrynton enrolled at Appalachian State University where he joined their college football program and became a focal point on their offense over four seasons with them. In 2016, during his freshman season with Appalachian State he rushed for 543 yards off ninety seven attempts and scored six touchdowns. His numbers were lower than normal in 2017 due to an injury suffered midseason that kept him out for several games but rebounded by 2018 when he ran for 1,187 yards and twelve touchdowns while becoming only one of two players to rush over 1,000 yards that season. In 2019 however he truly shined; rushing for 1,480 yards off 268 carries while scoring sixteen times – racking up accolades such as second-team All-American honors from both Associated Press (AP) & Athlon Sports media outlets along with Sun Belt Offensive Player of The Year recognition plus consensus FBS All-Sun Belt selection – making him one of most prolific rushers ever seen at Appalacian State University since they moved up into FBS level play in 2014.
