Christopher George Myarick, born on October 6, 1995, is an undeniable force on the field. Known for his dynamic role as an American professional football tight end and fullback, Myarick graces the Houston Texans of the National Football League (NFL) with his tireless determination and unmatched athleticism. He’s dedicated the early years of his career to perfecting his raw talent, a commitment that started with his education at college football powerhouse, Temple University.

Myarick’s journey to the NFL began when he was signed by the Miami Dolphins as an undrafted free agent on May 9, 2019. Despite his release during the final roster cuts on September 1, 2019, he remained steadfast and resolved. With perseverance, Myarick secured a position within the practice squad only two days after being waived.

Myarick’s relentless pursuit of success led to his signing of a reserve/futures contract on December 31, 2019, with the Dolphins. Following another waiver during the 2020 roster cuts, he successfully re-landed a place in their practice squad two days later. This commitment further solidified his value as a player, and he was promoted to the active roster multiple times – November 13, November 21, December 12, and December 19, playing against formidable teams like the Los Angeles Chargers, Denver Broncos, Kansas City Chiefs, and New England Patriots.

However, after each game, Myarick willingly reverted to the practice squad, proving his unwavering dedication. He celebrated the start of 2021 by signing another reserve/futures contract with the Dolphins on January 5th. Despite his departure from the Miami Dolphins on August 31, 2021, Christopher Myarick remained unfazed. His resilient spirit led to his signing with the New York Giants’ practice squad on September 2, 2021.

November 22, 2021, marked an important day in Myarick’s career when he was promoted from the practice squad for a game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Despite experiencing an interception by Tampa Bay defender Steve McLendon during his first NFL career target, he continued undeterred. This led to his signing with the active roster on November 24, 2021.

His first career reception featured a memorable one-yard touchdown pass from quarterback Daniel Jones during a Week 12 game against the Philadelphia Eagles. The game not only featured his first ever career catch, but it also showcased an 11-yard receiving play – his second career catch. As a result, he achieved the highest grade from Pro Football Focus for ANY Giants offensive player and was pivotal in their 13–7 victory over Myarick’s hometown team.

Myarick started the year 2022 with the Cincinnati Bengals, signing on January 6 to be their practice squad member. Here, he contributed significantly to their journey to Super Bowl LVI. Later on, he returned to the Giants, signing a reserve/futures contract on February 22, 2022. The season opener against the Tennessee Titans saw Myarick catch a late touchdown pass that led the Giants to an unforgettable 21–20 lead.

Despite his brief dismissal from the Giants on December 28, his unwavering spirit led him back to their practice squad and then to their active roster upon the eve of their next game. Amid continuous transitions within the industry, Myarick witnessed another significant once as he joined the Jacksonville Jaguars on August 3, 2024.

His stint with the Jaguars, however, was short-lived and he was released on August 25. Myarick found a new home in the Houston Texans, joining their practice squad on September 6, 2024. And though he has seen numerous ups and downs throughout his career, Myarick remains unyielding, a testament to his resilience and ambition in the competitive world of football.
