Chase Winovich

Chase Winovich is a former American football defensive end and edge defender who played college football at the University of Michigan before beginning his NFL career with the New England Patriots. Born April 19, 1995, in Jefferson Hills, Pennsylvania, Winovich developed into a disruptive defender after transitioning into a more permanent defensive-line role at Michigan. His collegiate career concluded with first-team All-Big Ten recognition and third-team Associated Press All-American honors in 2018.

The Patriots selected Winovich in the third round of the 2019 NFL Draft with the 77th overall pick. He spent his first three NFL seasons in New England, later playing for the Cleveland Browns and Houston Texans before joining the Miami Dolphins in 2023. Miami released him from its practice squad on October 17, 2023. Winovich announced his retirement from professional football on October 24, 2023, so he should be described as a former NFL player rather than a current team member as of September 15, 2026.
